LAHORE: The 8th Infotech Golf Championship will be contested today (Saturday) over 18 holes stroke play format here at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Course. Over 100 aspiring golf champions will line up at all the 18 tees in groups of four to charge off, once they hear the sound of a shot gun at exactly 10:30am. The appearance of Abbas Ali Khan, Sardar Murad, Mohsen Zafar, Amir Mehmood, Azfar Hassan and Faisal Ali Malik in the contest make it formidable and will somewhat dampen the optimism being felt by other hopefuls. The list of special invitees includes names like Atif Bajwa, Asad IA Khan, Irfan Raja, Taimoor Shabbir, Saleem Ghauri and Hashim Butt. KARACHI: Shahid Afridi may have spoilt his chance to become Pakistan's captain in limited overs cricket.
