Daniyal
Aziz was the chairman of the National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB), an
institution within the Government of Pakistan. He was elected to the
Pakistan National assembly in 1997 for the NA-116 (Narowal-II)
constituency and again in 2002. In 2008, however, he was defeated by an
independent candidate, Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq anees, due to anti-PML(Q)
and anti-Musharraf sentiment of the masses, where the ruling party was
routed.
