 | Pentangular Cup: Punjab pile on the misery in Lahore 22 February 2012

Punjab were more than happy to bat Sindh out of the game, reaching an imposing 367 for six in only 74 overs for an overall lead of 628 on the fourth day of their Faysal Bank Pentangular Cup final at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, according to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Haris Sohail and Mohammad Ayub wasted little time in scoring hundreds as they steered Punjab to a commanding position. Sohail made a 140-ball 150 and Ayub was dismissed for a well-made 123 as Punjab piled on Sindh bowlers’ misery after Aamer Sajjad frustrated them in the first-innings with a double century.
Punjab, who were dismissed for 496 in the first-innings, bowled out Sindh for 235 for a lead of 261 – which, barring a miracle, has all but secured the final for them. Keeping this in mind, Punjab captain Taufeeq Umar was more than satisfied to not enforce the follow-on and watch his batsmen compile a huge lead going into the final day. | | See Also in Sports News
