Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi was born on November 13, 1960 in Jatoi, District Muzaffargarh.

Married with a son and five daughters. He comes from a family background steeped in politics. His family has been active in politics from generations.

Sardar Nasrulla Khan Jatoi
His grand father Sardar Nasrulla Khan contested elections in 1946 on AIML(All India Muslim League) Ticket. He was also active in politics and challenged the powerful political forces of the past and made a name in philanthropic activities.

Sardar Nazar Muhammad Khan Jatoi
His father Sardar Nazar Muhammad Khan Jatoi was a prominent politician who elected to the Punjab Assembly for six times and was an influential political figure in the provincial and national politics.

Education
He received his early education from his native town and then moved to Lahore for his graduation and Master degree. He completed a Masters degree in Political Science from University of the Punjab in 1988.

Profession
He is an agriculturist and businessman by profession.

Political career
Upon completing his education, he started his political career.

Chairman town Committee of Jatoi, from 1979-1993
Elected MNA for the terms of 1990-1993
Elected MNA for the terms of 1993-1996
Elected MNA for the terms of 2002- 2007
Elected MNA for the terms of 2008 - (NA 180, Muzaffargarh-V)

Federal Minister for Defence Production
He is currently working as Federal Minister for Defence Production.

Abdul Qayyum Jatoi Bazate Khud achay insan hain lakin un k cousin jin ko unhoon he na 179 mein Khara kia tha Jin ka naam Muazzam Ali Khan Jatoi hai wo is qabil he naahi thay jooo seat unhoon ne usay di hai basicly wo Genral consler ki seat k qabil he nai tahy main ne un koo vote dia tha magr wo farz shanas mna nahi hain

wel . i have seen all his programs. just wonder that what type of peoples they were who elected him as MNA. on top of that i cant belive at all that a nice person like our PM appoint him as minister on what basis. i dont know where our country is going in the leadership of this type of ministers. YAALLAH please forgive us to vote and select this type of peoples. AMMIN

Well i m watching his debate at subjected to all of Tv Channels. Problem is that In every sense when i thought he talk against questions of all hosts. He did't reply as confidential as He is DEFENSE Minister. I m't targeting his ability of debate. But As a Minister He has not Qualify for his post and secondly about catclub. i m't saying that he is not bad in this case. My question is just that " why he appointed As Federal Minister of Defense ... When he is not sincere with his own . Then Why We ppl Elected him As Defense Production Minister ???..... I m Repeating again Defense Production Minister ?
