I wish some one would take the glamour out of our politics in pakistan. i live in uk and have never seen our local MP accompanied by police officers, mayor of london travels on his bike, there is no protocol for any public office bearer. its a good sign that pakistani media is waking up to the fact that these politicians are there to serve the people of the country not to make money and lead a lavish life style. it used to hurt me to see pakistani politicians accompanied by a large number of police officers and a whole carvan of cars, while poor people of the country wouldn't even be sure whether they will have a proper meal in the evening. i think we as a nation can only blame our selves, instead of voting for ideas, principles and policies, we vote for personalities. we empower them and we get abused...time to wakeup guys. vote PTI. |
