Lahore: Pakistan Army’s doctors on Monday took over the responsibilities in different government hospital of Punjab on the request of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif after young doctors’ strike across the province.
Doctors of Pakistan Army’s Medical Corps arrived this morning in different hospitals begun their work in OPDs.
Meantime, at least 20 female doctors have also resumed their work after edngin strike in Rawalpindi.
Earlier, at least six people including three women, two children and a man were killed Punjab due to the irresponsible act of doctors.
Sources said that at least five people including a child named Sarwar , three women and a man were found dead in Allied Hospital, Faisalabad after the doctors boycotted their duties.
“The condition is very critical as almost 70 children in the Allied Hospital were present in the children ward out of which 30 of them are in a critical condition,” they said.
A two year child was also reportedly killed in Mew hospital Lahore due to the absence of the doctors. The F.I.R of the incident was filed against eight young doctors.
The Punjab government has launched an all out operation against the doctors across Punjab and placed 32 doctors under house arrest. |  | See Also in Political News

| Meeting to devise new security policy today 20 June 2013
ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting, to formulate a new security policy will be held today (Thursday), Geo News reported.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, in his address to the National Assembly on June 17 had said, that he had convened a meeting of civil armed forces on June 20.
Sources said the meeting would deliberate on, formulating a new security policy, coordination with provincial governments and government’s policies and priorities on law and order.

WASHINGTON : Four Americans were killed Tuesday in an attack on Bagram air base by insurgents in Afghanistan, a US defense official said. The deaths were caused by insurgent “indirect fire,” either mortars or rockets, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
