Director Kunal Kohli loves shayari. This was evident in 2006's Fanaa where he got Aamir Khan to recite heartfelt, poignant poetry. In the upcoming Teri Meri Kahaani, he gets the lead pair Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to do the same.
TMK is set in three eras — 1910, 1960 and 2012. In the first era, Shahid plays Javed Quadri, one of his three characters in the film. Javed's story is set in pre-independence Lahore and his verse is integral to his character in the 1910 era. The verse was written by Kohli for his leading man. Javed's a village Romeo who uses shayaris to impress girls. He falls in love with Araadhana, PC's character from that era. She's the daughter of a freedom fighter and also resorts to verse to reply to Shaks.
However, here's an interesting twist. Shahid may be the screen shaayar but in real life, it's Priyanka who is a poet at heart. Insiders reveal that "Shahid has never written poetry but PC writes a lot of poems whenever she has the time. She looks forward to every moment, be it joy or sorrow, to pen a line."

LOS ANGELES: Four finalists are vying for the ``Dancing With the Stars'' title, and just one point separates the top two contestants.
A new champion will be crowned Tuesday.
Football pro Jacoby Jones, Olympian Alexandra Raisman, singer Kellie Pickler and 16-year-old Disney Channel star Zendaya each did three dances on Monday's episode of the ABC competition.
Zendaya was perfect in the judges' eyes, earning the maximum score for each routine.

NEW YORK BBC : British musical Matilda has topped the Drama Desk awards with five prizes.
The Broadway show, based on Roald Dahl’s book, won outstanding musical, while Bertie Carvel as Miss Trunchbull took outstanding actor in a musical and Tim Minchin won for outstanding lyrics, other than book and set design prizes.
US critics gave it rave reviews when it transferred to Broadway in April from London’s West End.

LOS ANGELES: Lindsay Lohan is being sued for $5 million. The Scary Movie 5’ star is being counter-sued by clothing manufacturer D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries, who claim she is the reason a business deal for her 6126 clothing line fell apart, according to TMZ.
