LAHORE – The cricket trials of all zonal cricket associations’ players of the Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) for upcoming Regional Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament will be held on May 19 here at the LCCA Ground. Acting LRCA secretary Sheikh M Sarwar said this at a press conference on Friday adding that East, North and West Zone Cricket Associations of the LRCA were informed to send 60 players list of the best performers of Lahore League for trials. He further said that only the best performer of Lahore League would be considered for the trials. He said one local selector from each zone and one PCB selector would conduct the trials. West Zone and North Zone trials would be held in the first session at 10am while East Zone trials would be held in the second session at 2pm, he added. The LRCA will monitor the trials and the deserving players will not be disappointed, he concluded.

KHULNA: Leg-spinner Yasir Shah struck the first blow for Pakistan after Bangladesh made a slow, but steady start to reach 60 for one at lunch on the opening day of the first Test at Khulna on Tuesday.
Yasir broke a 52-run opening stand between Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes just before the break after the hosts won the toss and elected to bat on the slow wicket at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector Haroon Rashid shows his disappointment the way Pakistan flopped against Bangladesh in the one-dayers and Twenty20.
However, he refused to completely overhaul the entire squad but hinted at minor changes.
He reiterated that he had selected a very balanced squad mainly based on youngsters, who had performed in the domestic cricket.
