A UK court has sentenced comedian and actor Russell Brand to do 20 hours of community service and to pay a fine of $500 (£322) for damaging a photographer’s mobile phone in March.
The photographer tried to take Brand’s picture in New Orleans upon which he went on the rampage and reportedly threw the photographer’s phone through the window of a nearby law firm.
Brand’s lawyer, Robert Glass, pleaded not guilty on his behalf at a hearing at Orleans Parish Municipal Court on Thursday morning, BBC reported.
The fine and community service must be completed before the end of August.
