Islamabad: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Sunday demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to take notice of anti-judiciary press conference from opposition leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and statements from CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, the interior minister said that PML-N leaders had applauded judiciary after every decision in their favour but only one anti-PML-N decision in Asghar Khan Case had agitated the party leaders.
“We have given respect to every decision from judiciary during our four-year tenure,” Malik said.
Nawaz Sharif is worried that a four-star general has given testimony against him, Malik added. Gen (rtd) Asad Durrani gave a testimony in Supreme Court that he had given Rs 35 lacks to PML-N president.
Malik further said that if he would be in place of Nawaz Sharif, he would have appologised nation for his sin and resigned.
“Supreme Court has ordered FIA to investigate the Asghar Khan Case,” the minister said adding DG FIA would set the procedure of investigation.

| Two killed as blast hits madrasa in Peshawar 24 May 2013
PESHAWAR: At least two people were killed and many others injured when a powerful blast took place near a religious seminary in a densely populated area of Peshawar on Friday,
Police said the explosion happened in a car parked outside a local madrasah – Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia – in Peshawar’s Faqir Abad area where Friday prayer was being offered.
Sources said a religious cleric was apparently target of the blast.

Gunmen on Friday opened fire on a convoy of NATO containers in a northwestern Pakistani town near the Afghan border, killing a driver and wounding a helper, officials said.
