KARACHI: Four dacoits were killed in an alleged police encounter in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city on Saturday morning, Geo News reported.
According to police, four armed robbers were killed near Disco Bakery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 4 in an encounter with police when they tried to enter the house owned by Ali Mudassir.
The police took action and cordoned off the bungalow as soon as they were informed about the presence of robbers in the house. After exchange of fire, four dacoits were killed and two fled from the scene
One of the killed robbers was clad in a veil while police recovered arms from their possession, sources told. |  | See Also in Political News

| Two killed as blast hits madrasa in Peshawar 24 May 2013
PESHAWAR: At least two people were killed and many others injured when a powerful blast took place near a religious seminary in a densely populated area of Peshawar on Friday,
Police said the explosion happened in a car parked outside a local madrasah – Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia – in Peshawar’s Faqir Abad area where Friday prayer was being offered.
Sources said a religious cleric was apparently target of the blast.

Gunmen on Friday opened fire on a convoy of NATO containers in a northwestern Pakistani town near the Afghan border, killing a driver and wounding a helper, officials said.
