Peshawar: At least four policemen including SP Rural Khurshid Khan were killed in an attack by unidentified militants on a check-post in Matni area of Peshawar, a metropolitan of Pakistan frequently came under attack from militants.
According to sources,militants attacked Ghaziabad check-post in Matni area, sparking battle for nearly two hours, which killed four policemen and wounded 12 others.
According to wounded police official, nearly 35 policemen were present at the time of attack while almost 300 militants launched the attack.
The bodies and injured cops were shifted to a local hospital in Peshawar.
The extra police force was deployed in the area in order to go in pursuit of the militants who easily escaped from the spot. | | See Also in Political News

LAHORE: The unscheduled loadshedding of electricity coupled with a very hot weather made lives of the people very miserable across the country.
The power outages continued for more 20 hours a day.
