 | No One Killed Jessica' inspires Vikram Bhatt for new film 16 August 2012

Inspired by the Rani Mukherjee-Vidya Balan starrer 'No One Killed Jessica', filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is making a film on the same lines but with a different subject.
The film will have its roots in medical negligence. It is about a boy who dies on the operation table. Titled 'Ankur Arora Murder Case', the film is based on a real life incident.
“'No One Killed Jessica' is a reference point because even in that film it was shown how an innocent girl was killed and then further lack of accountability resulted in justice being denied to the victim's family.
“'Ankur Arora Murder Case' also bears a similar theme. We are saying that Ankur Arora didn't die just because doctors failed to save him. Instead, it was plain murder,” said Vikram.
This case didn't find as much social awakening and a widespread public movement, as was the case with 'No One Killed Jessica'. However, Vikram aspires to bring some of the secrets out in open with this medical thriller, said a source.
The film would feature Arjun Mathur in the lead along with K K Menon, Vishakha Singh and Tisca Chopra. Paoli Dam, who was last seen in Vikram's 'Hate Story', would be seen in an important part as well.
Just like 'Hate Story', Vikram is entrusting another director to call the shots.
“Suhail Tatari would be directing 'Ankur Tiwari Murder Case'. He begins shooting next month itself,” the source added. | | See Also in Showbiz News
