Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik Monday announced military award ‘Sitara-e-Shujaat’ for deceased SP Rural Khurshid Khan for fighting militants with bravery and courage.
At least four policemen including SP Rural Khurshid Khan were killed in an attack by unidentified militants on a check-post in Matni area of Peshawar, a metropolitan of Pakistan frequently came under attack from militants.
Speaking to media, Malik said that the martyred police official led the force from the front in fighting the militants at Ghaziabad police-post in Matni area of Peshawar, a metropolitan of Pakistan.
The minister said that the whole nation salute Khurshid Khan for fighting against the militants with bravery and shedding his last drop of the blood for the nation.
