DIR: At least three people were killed and seven others were injured in a remote controlled bomb attack on a bus carrying members of the peace militia in Dir Bala, Express News reported on Saturday.
Police reached the scene soon after the blast and locals began rescue efforts to shift the injured to local hospitals.
A heavy contingent of police has been deployed to the area.
Earlier, a Station House Officer (SHO) and a gunman were on a routine patrol in Lower Dir when a remote-controlled bomb planted on the roadside exploded, injuring him and the gunman. |  | See Also in Political News

| Slain PTI leader Zahra Shahid laid to rest in Karachi 20 May 2013
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zahra Shahid who was gunned down here last night was laid to rest at a graveyard in Defence Phase IV on Sunday evening, Geo News reported.
Her funeral prayer was offered at Sultan Masjid which was attended by a large number of people, including, her family and friends besides PTI leaders, workers and office bearers.

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary party of the Pakistan Musllim League-Nawaz will meet its president Nawaz Sharif in the chair today (Monday) to finalize formation of government in the centre, Punjab and Balochistan.

ISLAMABAD: Restoring peace in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will be a major challenge for the incoming provincial government, says Sirajul Haq, the finance minister-designate in the provincial cabinet.
