Sethi " I want it but I dont want it". na nau man ghee hhoga naa radha nachey gee " what is good for the people it is good for the country. For God sake, strike while the iron is hot applies here. The racist people want to divide South, Norht and Central Punjab. They are the same people, belonging from same tribes and obviously if they are the same tribes they could not be different in history or anything as their origin is same.
Apart from Niazis, Durranis, Khans, Balochs, Qureshis and So called Arab Syeds no one can claim to be a Seraiki as all are Sons of this land and we are not settlers and we live in South Punjab and Culturally we are Punjabi and nothing else.
Also PPP will only win from Baloch dominated regions like Rahim Yar Khan and others where Khosas, Legharis, Niazis, Durranis and Khans live otherwise no one will vote PPP for this so called Ethnic card playing.
My family lives in Bahawalpur and people of Bahawalpur know their history and Abbasis of North Punjab were heads of the Bahawalpur state and they have clear connection with North Punjab and we will reject any Province on the basis of Fake Identity that we dont want to embrace. |

I live in South Punjab and I cannot understand what is meant by a Seraiki identity actually. Yes we have a different dielect than Punjabi of Lahore but it does not mean we are not Punjabi.
The definition of Punjabi includes culture, way of life and way of living and our way of life is all Punjabi. Infact Punjabi was born in South Punjab.
Apart from Baloch, Niazis, Durranis, Syeds, Qureshis which claim to come from Arab lands or are Settlers call themselves Seraikis as they are racist people and dont want to identify themselves with us.
How come a Jutt, Rajput, Arain, Chaudary, Malik, Arain, Bhutta, Butt, Kharal, Khar, Mughal, Gujjar, Bosan, Malik, Khokhar, Cheema, Abbasi, Sardar, Achara, Buttar, Chattha, Gondal, Goraya, Natt, Upp, SUB clan of Jats, Sub Clans of Rajputs and many others of North Punjab and South Punjab could be DIFFERENT?
No it is not as People of South Punjab, Central and North have Same History and culture and they are not different from Each other. |
