Inside Story - How politicised is Pakistan's judiciary?

Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan's president, issued a decree on Sunday to prevent legal challenges against any actions taken or orders passed by the recently ousted prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani over the past two months. Gilani was convicted of contempt of court on April 26 and dismissed last week. The Supreme Court ordered Gilani's removal from office for refusing to reopen corruption cases against Zardari. The move was the culmination of a stand-off between the judiciary and the government.

Good program but same talks as on local media. I was expecting,from the title of program, that they will reveal family ties between judges, politicians and establishment.

Elite seen to be corrupt and disloyal to the concerns of the average Pakistani, and by the politics of waging war on one’s own territory and people.

There can never be peace between Truth & False hood
There can never be peace between Justice and oppression

Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession in the world. In Pakistan it bears a very close resemblance to the first.

It’s not the rulers who are strong it’s the ruled who are weak the proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains
