Before the invention of Democracy by WEST there used to be one man to lead his covered area. For example, in roman empire, in ottoman empire, and even in small tribal areas, one man was not only acting as administration(civilian) leader but also as military leader. After WEST started Democracy now you talk about this thing. In this democracy, vote of one wise man is less valuable than vote of 10 illiterate people. That's why govt never flourish because of such conceptual flaw in democracy which is implemented in Pakistan.

How true, ISI was and still is a Mafia in uniform. Its about time that we Pakistanis stop treating the military and particularly ISI as the holy cows of the country. Time has come when the tail(Army) should not be allowed to wag the dog (Civil society).Army has no business to run the country's foreign policy or to decide who should be elected and who should form a government. People like General Gul are living in the past and are unable or unwilling to accept the fact that Pakistanis are quite capable of thinking and making up their own mind as to what type of governance they want.Definitely not ruled by the army and ISI as before. Military has to be subordinate to the civilian government and not be accountable to anyone.
